During the 2020 Election, I assisted the Vox.com Video team as an associate producer.
My responsibilities included supporting producers on their current productions and gathering archival and social media footage via Twitter, Associated Press Archive, Vanderbilt Archives, Instagram, and TikTok.
I currently serve as a video clearance producer for the Vox.com video team and Vox Linear Channel.
Starting in February of 2021, I helped develop the Vox.com cue sheet workflow for current and archival videos, monitoring video content, assets, and releases through the rough cut stage to the final product.
I regularly coordinate with Vox.com video producers and advise them with support from the Vox.com legal team on the legality of the third-party content used in their videos, helping them find swaps or work-arounds.
I also make edits on archival videos when need be and come up with compositions to replace incorrect fair usage.
During the political unrest of the impeachment hearings in 2019 and the 2020 election, I assisted the Vox.com social media team by creating short-form video content for the Vox.com Twitter and Instagram.
Using Snapstream, I monitored broadcasts in real time to identify potential viral and important moments, which I then immediately clipped and subtitled so they could be uploaded to social media while still relevant.
As a video intern at Vox.com, I worked closely with the Vox video production manager. I provided support on current productions by tracking progress and releases via Monday.com and Adobe Sign.
I also helped produce short video content for the members-only Vox Video Lab and the Vox.com Instagram, and coordinated with producers to create Q&A and promotional content for the platform.
I created a variety of eye-catching and engaging thumbnails for YouTube and other platforms, and served as assistant cameraman for studio and field shoots.
