I served as a social video producer for the Cheddar News social media team, creating graphics and video for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
My main responsibility was developing short-form shows for our platforms, like Tiny Topics, a weekly one-minute explainer series (which I also wrote/edited/animated.)
Other content I produced ranges from promotional to informative. I regularly wrote and edited four short news videos a week that aligned with the Cheddar brand; typically light hearted, and ranging in topic from climate change to cyborg cockroaches. These videos were the best performing content across all our platforms.
I also filmed and edited a weekly man-on-the-street series, News or Noise, where a host and I went on the street to quiz random passers-by on how well they’re paying attention to the news.
